Wait… bloggers can really make that much money?!
Yup. The proof is here!
As you can see from the list, these bloggers are making anywhere from $16,000 all the way to $300,000+ PER MONTH!
So, what can we learn from their success? Here are a few key takeaways..
1. They diversify their income streams
Each blog is monetized in multiple ways. Here are the monetization strategies that most of the blogs are using:
- Affiliate marketing
- Sponsored posts
- Advertising
- Their own physical product sales
- Their own digital product sales (eBooks, courses, etc.)
… And more!
RELATED: Check out my blog post on how to monetize a blog!
2. Each blog has their own product(s) up for sale
Having your own product to sell is great because you get the entire cut from the sale, unlike in affiliate marketing where you’d only receive commissions. Each blog is selling at least one product whether it’s a digital download, an eBook, a course, a physical product, etc.
Selling your own product is certainly not necessary when you’re a beginner, but it’s a good thing to consider trying as time goes on.
3. Each blog gives value to their readers
This is a very important, if not the MOST important, step in creating a successful, profitable blog in any niche!
Each blog in this list helps their readers in some way: They teach, write valuable content, give advice, post useful guides/tutorials and more. They write for the reader.
A blog that screams “me! me! me!” probably won’t become very lucrative.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s fine if you want to make a blog all about yourself. It’s your blog after all. You get to choose what you write about! BUT the honest truth is that a blog that’s all about yourself has a lower chance of becoming as successful as the ones on this list.
3 Foolproof tips for picking a profitable blog niche:
1. Pick a niche where you can help your readers.
What do all 10 of the blogs I listed have in common? They help their readers.
They teach, they guide, they provide useful information.
People read blog posts because they’re looking for information that will serve them. Keep this in mind when choosing your niche.
If you can HELP people with the content you share on your blog… You’ll be golden!
2. Pick an evergreen niche.
An evergreen niche is one whose content doesn’t go out of fashion. Some examples of evergreen niches are fitness, food recipes and personal finance. People are always looking for information on these topics, and the time of year has little effect on how popular the topics are.
Some examples of non-evergreen, seasonal niches are Christmas decor, Halloween costumes or school. People typically only search for these topics during certain months of the year.
Though you absolutely can succeed with a seasonal niche, I would highly recommend picking an evergreen niche so your income and traffic are consistent year round.
3. Pick a niche that other bloggers are succeeding in.
As strange as it may sound, competition is a good sign when picking a niche.
Why? Because if other bloggers are already succeeding in your chosen niche, then you’ll be certain that you have a chance of succeeding as well!
Picking a niche that you know other people are doing well in will put a lot of your doubts at ease, so don’t steer away from a niche just because there are other bloggers doing it already.
